Give us a call at 1-111-111-1111; our tour specialists are available to consult on travel options to these dynamic destinations, coordinate airfare through our in-house air department, address your questions regarding visa requirements and plan personalized pre and post-trip extensions.

The quickest way to reserve is to call us at 1-111-111-1111 and place a non-refundable deposit by Visa, MasterCard or Amex over the phone. Early reservations are recommended, as space on all scheduled tours is limited. To finalize your booking, complete the Reservation Form and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement and mail to MIR with a color photocopy of your passport.

Once we receive the signed and completed Reservation Form and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, we will send you a comprehensive confirmation packet which includes a descriptive daily itinerary, our Touring with MIR handbook containing general information and travel tips for the countries you’ll visit, suggested reading list, a preliminary invoice, and more. Visa kits for applicable trips are generally sent out about 3-4 months prior to departure. A final update packet with air tickets, luggage tags, an updated itinerary and contact information is generally sent 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

Khiva, Uzbekistan Photo credit: Michel BeharA valid passport with six months validity from the end of the tour is required for participation. Travelers are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to departure. MIR cannot guarantee visa or permit approval by foreign governments, and cannot assume responsibility for incorrect or improperly issued visa, permit or passport documentation, nor for any costs associated with a traveler’s refused visa or permit issuance or refused entry into a country due to incorrect or incomplete documentation.

Itinerary & Price Changes

Published itineraries are subject to change due to changing conditions in the field. As trips are priced more than a year in advance, we reserve the right to change the land cost if we are faced with significant increased costs over which we have no control, including (but not limited to) changes in internal airfares, fuel surcharges and currency fluctuations.

Single Travelers

Dmanisi, Georgia Photo credit: Martin KlimentaIf you prefer single accommodations, the single supplement fee/single occupancy rate is payable. Single accommodations are not always available as some nights may be spent in yurts/gers, tents, lodges, guesthouses, aboard regularly scheduled rail service or in private homes and are subject to the availability of rooms and/or camping space. A partial single supplement is available on tours that employ non-hotel accommodation for some nights.

We are happy to attempt a same gender roommate match for solo travelers who request it on small group tours. Should no one be available with whom you can share, you will be assessed the single supplement fee/single occupancy rate at the time of invoicing. In the event of a last-minute cancellation or roommate incompatibility resulting in assignment of a single room, the single supplement fee/single occupancy rate will be assessed.
