In a recent announcement, UNESCO added 26 new inductees to its prestigious annual list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, which included 10 from MIR’s destinations. MIR’s vice president, Annie Lucas, was asked for her insights on travel to one of these new sites, the ancient Iranian city of Yazd, in feature articles in the New York Times, the Malaysian Times, Channel News Asia, and the Tehran Times.

“In terms of architecture, original temples, gardens and mosques, a lot of things are traditional and intact,” said Annie Lucas, the vice president of MIR Corporation, which guides trips in Iran.
